Professor Wright is an assistant professor of physics at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). He teaches intro physics, astronomy, and quantum mechanics. As am observational cosmologist his primary research interest is in using galaxy clusters--the most massive objects in the universe--to measure cosmological parameters such as the amount of normal matter, dark matter, and dark energy in our universe. Trained as an optical astronomer (PhD in Physics from Stanford in 2019), most of his work has been in measuring the mass of galaxy clusters using weak gravitational lensing--the deflection of light's path as it passes near a massive object.
