Gregory W. Frazier (‘Dr. G’) is a professional motorcycle adventurer, writer and film producer. Known as “America’s #1 extreme motorcycle adventurer,” his expeditions take him to the ends of the earth. He is the only motorcyclist known to have made four solo motorcycle rides around the world and two partnered. His name can be found in motorcycle racing record books aboard BMW and Indian motorcycles. A Crow Indian (“Sun Chaser”), his home is in the Big Horn Mountains of Montana. Among his sixteen published books are BMW GSing AROUND THE WORLD; MOTORCYCLE ADVENTURER; DOWN AND OUT IN PATAGONIA, KATMCHATKA, AND TIMBUKU; MOTORCYCLE TOURING – EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW and his best selling tome MOTORCYCLE SEX. He is the Adventure Strategy Contributor at MOTORCYCLE CONSUMER NEWS and for CITY BIKE magazine he is the Chief of the World Adventure Affairs Desk. His journalistic works appear throughout the global motorcycle press and travel magazines. He travels widely by motorcycles throughout the year and contributes his wanderlust to Native American heritage. He says of his wild motorcycle adventures, “I hate adventure that has anything to do with snakes or sharks.”
No stranger to danger, his adventures around the earth include having been shot at by rebels, jailed by unfriendly authorities, bitten by snakes, run over by Pamplona bulls and smitten by a product of Adam's rib. In 2005 Frazier completed his fifth motorcycle ride around the earth, helping a Parkinson's patient as his pillion "Ride the Dream."
Frazier's two wheel travels have taken him over 1,000,000 miles. Frazier works as an author, motorcycle journalist, script consultant, professional photographer, and lecturer, his treatments appearing widely throughout the international motorcycling press. In the USA media he has been a regular Columnist/Adventure Editor-at-Large for motorcycle magazines such as MOTORCYCLE-USA.COM, ACCELERATE (RIDERS OF KAWASAKI), and DUAL-SPORT NEWS. He has contributed to RIDER, MOTORCYCLE CONSUMER NEWS, MOTORCYCLIST, BACKROADS, RoadRUNNER Motorcycle Tour and Travel, AMERICAN MOTORCYCLIST, ADVENTURE MOTORCYCLE in the United States. Internationally his work has appeared in BMW BIKES (Japan), TOURENFAHRER (Germany), MOTORRAD (Germany) and MOTORCYCLE TRADER AND NEWS (New Zealand). He has personally been featured in other foreign publications such as MOTOR CYCLE NEWS (Great Britain), MotorradABENTEUER (Germany), and MOTO (Russia). Dr. G also enjoys a solid reputation for motorcycle and product evaluations.
A documentary film produced by Horizons Unlimited titled ROAD HEROES featured Frazier in their film subtitled Motorcycle Adventure Travel Tales.
As a co-founder of the BIG DOG ADVENTURE RIDE (www.horizonsunlimited.com/bigdog) and the ELEPHANT RIDE he has enjoyed both events as organizer and entrant.
Frazier is a well-known motivational speaker, presenting his multi-media shows "Sun Chasing or Five Times Around-The-World-By-Motorcycle: Ride The World," and "Long Distance Riding Adventures - 100 Years Of Secrets Revealed." He lectures as a Professor of Motorcycle Adventure and has been identified as “The world’s most cerebral motorcycle adventurer.”
