 f Chairman Emeritus, MCA Nashville, and will continue to serve as an adviso
 r to the label. Luke Lewis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Mercury
  Nashville and Lost Highway, will now oversee the operations of all three l
 abels.		“My time with MCA Nashville has been the most rewarding experience 
 of my career and I am extremely proud of the achievements of all of our gre
 at artists as well as the tremendous staff behind these accomplishments,” c

 risha Yearwood, Gary Allan, and Lee Ann Womack as well as newcomers Rebecca
  Lynn Howard and Shannon Lawson. Under his direction, MCA Nashville was con
 sistently rated the No. 1 country label by music trades “Billboard” and “R&
 amp;R” for ten consecutive years (1991-2000), leading to both publications 
 naming MCA Nashville the “Label of the Decade.”		MCA Nashville, under Mr. H
 inton’s guidance, has set numerous country music records including most No.
  1 singles (George Strait); most Grammy Awards won by a country artist (Vin
 ce Gill); and No.1 selling female country artist of all time (Reba McEntire
 ).		An Indiana native and graduate of Indiana University, Mr. Hinton began 
 his music career at Warner Bros. Records in New York in 1960. He soon rose 
 to the head of National Promotion for Warner/Reprise, relocating to their h
 eadquarters in Los Angeles. In 1965, Mr. Hinton joined Columbia Records as 
 Western Promotion Manager and then moved back to New York as Director of CB
 S’s Custom Label Group. He returned to Los Angeles in 1967, joining record 
 executive Jimmy Bowen at Amos Productions. Subsequently, he co-founded the 
 first national independent country record promotion company with Peter Sven
 dson, and later co-founded a production company with Jim Ed Norman, who lat
 er became President of Warner/Reprise Nashville. In the early ‘80s, Mr. Hin
 ton moved to Nashville as Senior Vice President and General Manager of MCA 
 Nashville. In 1989, Hinton was upped to President and then promoted to Chai
 rman in 1993.		Mr. Hinton serves on the boards of the Country Music Foundat
 ion; Country Music Association; Tennessee Performing Arts Center; Leadershi
 p Music; W.O. Smith Nashville Community School; City of Hope Executive Boar
 d, Music &amp; Entertainment Industry Chapter; and the Senior Advisory Boar

 ana University, Mr. Hinton began his music career at Warner Bros. Records i
 n New York in 1960. He soon rose to the head of National Promotion for Warn
 er/Reprise, relocating to their headquarters in Los Angeles. In 1965, Mr. H
 inton joined Columbia Records as Western Promotion Manager and then moved b
 ack to New York as Director of CBS&rsquo;s Custom Label Group. He returned 
 to Los Angeles in 1967, joining record executive Jimmy Bowen at Amos Produc
 tions. Subsequently, he co-founded the first national independent country r
 ecord promotion company with Peter Svendson, and later co-founded a product
 ion company with Jim Ed Norman, who later became President of Warner/Repris
 e Nashville. In the early &lsquo;80s, Mr. Hinton moved to Nashville as Seni
 or Vice President and General Manager of MCA Nashville. In 1989, Hinton was
  upped to President and then promoted to Chairman in 1993.</span><br style=
